Who?

Iivo Korhonen - a director, sound designer, media artist and visual alchemist from Helsinki, Finland.

What?

My speciality is in films and media art. I work as a documentary director and a sound designer and photograph on film.

I’m interested in all fields of work, including films, video-art, installations and contemporary media.

How?

My art specializes in the genre of docufiction, in which dreamlike-states are mixed with daily life. The most common themes for me are impermanence, absurdism and surrealism. I enjoy injecting documentary with some fiction, for the purpose of bringing out those things, which are usually hidden under the surface.
